Project Portfolio Management Software

Project portfolio management software for running portfolio delivery

Completix gives PMOs one current view of every project, with resources, risks, issues, dependencies and status reporting connected in a single platform. Running the portfolio stops meaning chasing updates across spreadsheets, inboxes and individual project files.

The Problem

The portfolio picture is scattered

Ask a PMO for a current view of the whole portfolio and the answer usually starts with a round of emails. Status lives in individual project files, risks sit in trackers only the project manager opens, and resource plans live in a spreadsheet nobody else edits. By the time it is all compiled, it is already out of date.

Running a portfolio means every project's status, risks, issues and dependencies, and resourcing already live in the same place, current, without anyone having to ask for it.

What Running A Portfolio Takes

The questions a PMO gets asked every week

These are the questions Completix is built to answer, without a status meeting or a manual roll-up, as part of the full PPM platform.

Do you have one current view of every project?

Not eleven separate ones that need to be pulled together by hand.

Are risks, issues and dependencies visible before they escalate?

Or do they surface in a document only the project manager opens.

Do you know who is overallocated before it is too late?

Resource conflicts are easier to solve early than after they cause a delay.

Can leadership get a status update without chasing anyone?

A consolidated view should not depend on someone compiling it manually.

Is the status current, or a snapshot from last week?

The difference matters when a decision gets made on it.

Can the PMO see the whole portfolio, not just one project?

Portfolio oversight needs a view that sits above individual projects.

Portfolio Dashboards

One current view of every project, not eleven separate ones

Instead of visiting each project to piece together a portfolio view, Completix keeps a live dashboard of every project's health, status and open risks in one place. The PMO sees the whole portfolio at a glance, then drills into any single project without switching tools.

  • A consolidated view that updates as project data changes
  • Drill from the portfolio into any individual project
  • No manual roll-up before a leadership meeting
Resource Management

Know who is overallocated before it is too late

Completix tracks capacity by named individual, not by role type, so the PMO can see exactly who is over or under allocated across every active project, not just the one being reviewed this week.

When a new project starts or an existing one shifts, the effect on real people's availability is visible immediately, across the whole portfolio, not just the project that changed.

Resource conflicts are far easier to resolve when they are visible weeks in advance.

Portfolio Dependencies

The dependencies between projects are where delivery quietly breaks

One slip in a feeder project ripples into everything that depends on it, often before anyone notices. Completix maps every cross-project dependency, tracks the buffer on each link, and surfaces the ones that need attention before the ripple starts.

Modeling the trade-offs before they happen, instead of after, is the job of scenario planning.

Risks, Actions, Issues & Dependencies

Risks and issues that surface before they escalate

RAID lives in Completix as four connected logs, risks, actions, issues and dependencies, each viewed on its own so project teams have a focused place to work. The PMO still sees every project's RAID position without asking anyone for an export.

Entries are logged by the people running the work, with an owner and a status, giving the portfolio a current record instead of a document only one person opens.

Status Summary
The programme is 62 percent complete and Build is on track. The forecast now sits above the approved budget, flagged in the Warning Center and under review with the sponsor. Two risks moved to a higher rating this week, and the data migration mapping risk was closed. UAT remains scheduled for July 18.
Status Reporting

Status that is current, not last week's snapshot

Status reports in Completix are always live, reflecting the project's current state. When a period needs to be captured for the record, for a steering committee or an audit trail, posting the period saves an immutable snapshot, so the current view and the historical record never get confused with each other.

That record feeds directly into portfolio reporting, so leadership sees the same numbers the PMO works from every day.

  • Reports stay live between reporting periods
  • Posting a period locks in an immutable snapshot
  • One consistent format across every project in the portfolio
Why Completix

Built for running the portfolio day to day

Dashboards, resources, RAID, status and delivery tracking, connected in one platform instead of scattered across separate files.

Portfolio dashboards

A consolidated view of health, status and risk across every active project, built for daily use.

RAID logs

Risks, actions, issues and dependencies tracked by owner and status across every project.

Resource allocation

Capacity tracked by named individual, so overallocation is visible before it causes a delay.

Portfolio roadmaps

See how projects sequence and overlap over time, across the whole portfolio.

Status reports

Live by default, with an immutable snapshot saved whenever a period is posted.

Gate reviews

Keep delivery moving with reviews and approvals governed by policy, tracked in the system, not in an inbox.
